Spotless Speed Cleaning!

Any advice on a good organizing/cleaning schedule?

Preferably one that will work with small kids in the house. (i.e. not constantly cleaning to the point I don’t have time to be with my kids.)

The washing goes into the machine as you walk through the house as soon as you get out of bed. Breakfast gets assembled while you are chatting to the kids. You have breakfast together and the kids if old enough, (and you can start this early) do some tidying or picking up or bed making in their own rooms while you do your room.

They then bring their toys to the living area while you tidy up after breakfast. I’m going to assume you have toddlers, so next it is all into the bathroom. They are in the bath while you clean the bathroom and chat to them.

Get them dressed and then it’s their tv time or DVD time while you shower and hang the washing.

They can then sit on the couch with a book while you vacuum the house.

Most of the work is now done – off to the park together! At their nap time you prepare most of the evening meal then have a sit down.

I’m always looking for this! If you come up with a good answer let me know. When you have small kids your house is always going to be a mess. Just remember that when you are old and grey on your death bed, you will be reflecting on your life and thinking of all the wonderful memories with your family. Not once will you think ‘I sure wish I would have dusted more in my lifetime’ or ‘Why didnt I get to those dirty dishes faster’.
