I have done ALL the required clean up duties to speed my computer up–I have windows live one care for the virus stuff–i have defragged, scanned, disk cleaned everything I know to do–still it is slow as ——PLEASE help–I am supposed to have the fast DSL–but I would really hate to see slow if this is fast–also sometimes when I type–half my letters don’t show up in my message and I have to go back and type them in–and no I am not a fast typer—Please help–in detail please

It i slow on everyting–when I try to view dfferent things–it is just s slow–it has gradually started dong this. as for the tping–doesn’t matter what I’m typing to–it happens–I am not going to corect the typing in this- it is slow switching applicaions–I alway leave it on–so there is no start up probl;em-but when I do tur it off occasionally–yes it is slow–Help—tinking about tossing it!! Just kidding–knothere’s got to be an answer somewhere out there—-thanks!!

well there are a few folders u can clean to speed your computer but the biggest killer of a computer is to have the windows update running. dont forget to go to your tools tab of ur IE or firefox and clean out all your cookies and such. also on ur hard drive clean the temp, prefetch and offline web pages in the windows directory. while ur in that folder look at the first files, any that start with a $ are the files windows has downloaded and is chocking ur machine. the other thing that could help is find a reliable registry cleaner and run that. i use the mcafee from my comcast account and it has most of the basic stuff in it only on one program. dont forget the more programs u need to run ur computer the slower the machine will be anyhow.

What, specifically, is slow? Is it only Internet applications? Is the computer slow to start up? Is it slow to launch applications? Is it slow to switch applications?
Was it always slow? Did it get slow gradually? Or was it just slow one day having always been fast before?
This typing problem, is it only in one application? If so, what application?
Update: What did you scan with? Scan with at least two of the following: Spybot SD, Ad Aware, MalwareBytes AntiMalware, SuperAntiSpyware.
