  1. Use soda water instead of the cleaner, it works pretty well or if you are going to do the entire room, not just spot clean, we use 1/4 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water. Our carpet is also cream colored and the bleach really helps to clean it and brighten it up. Before we clean the carpet, we spray the entire room with mean green and then use the bleach in the actual carpet cleaner/shampooer!
